As a child Glyn was in an incident at home that caused a big dent in her nose, this made her very self conscious in her teens.

In her 30’s and financially able, Glyn under went surgery at the Belvedere clinic for Liposuction on her thighs and nose surgery to remove and improve on the dent from her childhood accident.

In her 40’s the ageing skin around her eyes was tightened, then in July last year, just after turning 50, Dr Khan at the belvedere clinic proceeded with doing Glyn a total facelift.

This involves the skin of the face and neck pulled upwards and back. At the same time, fatty deposits under the chin and along the jaw line can be removed and the muscles tightened. The cheeks can also be filled out to give a more youthful look. This can take 3 to 4 hours, the recovery time expected is around 2 weeks and 4 to 6 weeks with no strenuous exercise for complete recovery.

Many women like Glyn are not settling down as they get older, but are choosing to live life to the full – discovering new carriers, partners and taking extended holidays.
